El histórico pívot mallorquín, clave en una de las épocas más doradas del club blanco, muere a los 73 años de edad

Rafael Rullán Ribera, uno de los jugadores más emblemáticos del baloncesto español y del Real Madrid, ha fallecido este domingo 4 de mayo a los 73 años tras una larga enfermedad. Nacido en Palma de Mallorca en 1952, Rullán fue un pionero en su posición y una pieza fundamental en la historia del club blanco, donde jugó durante 18 temporadas (1969-1987) y conquistó 14 Ligas, 9 Copas de España, 3 Copas de Europa, 4 Copas Intercontinentales y 1 Recopa de Europa.

Internacional con la selección española en 161 ocasiones, logró la medalla de plata en el Eurobasket de 1973 y fue el primer deportista balear en participar en unos Juegos Olímpicos. Tras su retirada, permaneció vinculado al Real Madrid como delegado del primer equipo y responsable de las escuelas de la Fundación del club.

Su legado como jugador y su calidad humana dejan una huella imborrable en la historia del baloncesto español y del Real Madrid.
