El FC Barcelona ha oficializado la renovación del central uruguayo sin aparente cláusula de rescisión en su nuevo contrato
El conjunto azulgrana se asegura la continuidad de Ronald Araujo hasta el 30 de junio de 2031 después de un mes repleto de rumores que lo vinculaban con la Juventus. Su contrato, que finalizaba en el verano de 2026, ya venía siendo anunciado unas semanas atrás por ciertos sectores del barcelonismo, pero no se ha estampado la firma hasta este mismo mediodía, según informaba Mundo Deportivo.
La sorpresa llegaba en el comunicado del conjunto catalán, donde no se establecía ninguna referencia a su cláusula de rescisión, una cláusula que se especulaba iba a ser más baja que la vigente -1.000 millones- para ofrecerle la posibilidad de abandonar el club si así lo deseaba. Con esta incógnita todavía por resolver, el comunicado emitido desde el club era el siguiente:
El FC Barcelona y el jugador Ronald Araujo han llegado a un acuerdo para la renovación de su contrato, que le vinculará con el Club hasta el 30 de junio de 2031.
El defensa azulgrana ha firmado su nuevo contrato este jueves por la tarde en un acto con el presidente del FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta; el vicepresidente primero, Rafa Yuste; y el director deportivo del Club, Anderson Luis de Souza «Deco».
