Según Gianluca di Marzio por vía X, Ghisolfi declaró que se contempla la posibilidad de un filial en la escuadra romanista, igualando el mismo movimiento de clubes como la Atalanta o el Milan.

Que la Roma sea una de las mejores canteras de Italia es de sobra conocido. Por el sector juvenil romano han salido íconos como Totti, De Rossi o Giannini entre otros. Además de dominar en las competiciones primavera, puede caber la posibilidad de que haya un filial en la Serie C para que haya un paso intermedio entre el sector juvenil y el primer equipo.

Lo de que haya un filial en la Serie C no es nada nuevo ya que equipos como Juventus, Milan y Atalanta tienen su equipo sub-23 para que los juveniles empiecen a foguearse en el camino al primer equipo. En la escuadra bianconera saben lo que es saborear las mieles del éxito ya que además de subir jugadores de la talla de Kenan Yildiz o Nicolò Fagioli, el equipo Next Gen ha sido capaz de llegar a la final de la Coppa Italia de la Serie C en dos ocasiones llegando a ganarla en 2020.

A pesar de ser sólo una idea el tener un equipo sub-23, sería un gran paso para la escuadra giallorossi tener un puente entre el juvenil y el primer equipo donde se puede ver ejemplos actualmente en los que han tenido o están teniendo importancia como es el caso de Nicola Zalewski o Niccolò Pisilli. Si se hiciera realidad esta posible decisión, sería una gran noticia tanto para el conjunto capitolino como para la Serie A ya que podría dar más salida a juveniles al equipo principal y ver así más probabilidades de ver casos como el de De Rossi o Totti.
