Orjan Nyland está muy cerca de renovar con el Sevilla, ambas partes quieren seguir de la mano mucho más tiempo. El portero noruego es una pieza clave en este nuevo Sevilla de Quique Sánchez Flores.

Después de la salida de Yassine Bono el Sevilla no había tenido un portero fiable bajo palos, la salida del portero marroquí fue un gran varapalo para los hispalenses y tras intentar que Marko Dimitrovic reemplazará al último Zamora sevillista sin éxito.

Orjan Nyland está llenando ese hueco y es que es uno de los porteros revelación de esta temporada en la liga EA Sport, el portero noruego ha acabado quitándole la titularidad al portero serbio tras sus grandes actuaciones debajo de los palos.

El portero noruego llegó la pasada campaña y en tan solo 5 partidos desde su llegada a la capital andaluza consiguió la confianza de Jose Luis Mendilibar para ocupar la portería.

Nyland fue un fichaje low-cost en principio con un rol de suplente muy definido, el portero nunca se había alzado con la titularidad de ninguno de los equipos en los que ha estado, sin embargo, esta temporada ha sido la excepción.

De momento, esta temporada en liga ha conseguido dejar su portería a cero en 4 ocasiones. En 16 partidos le han marcado 17 goles.

En el último partido que disputó su equipo contra el conjunto azulón tuvo que esmerarse realizando 5 paradas. Consiguió dejar su portería a cero y subsanó los errores de un Loïc Badé que no tuvo su mejor tarde.

Junto con el delantero Isaac Romero y el veterano Sergio Ramos es uno de los culpables de que el Sevilla cada vez esté más lejos de los puestos de descenso.

Acaba contrato en seis meses, pero las posturas por ambas partes se están acercando para conseguir renovar su contrato para cumplir el deseo del futbolista, que es quedarse en Sevilla con su familia, donde es feliz.
