Este jueves, el Estadio Ciudad de M\u00e9xico<\/a>\u00a0ser\u00e1 testigo del primer partido de la Copa del Mundo 2026<\/a> con el duelo inaugural entre M\u00e9xico y Sud\u00e1frica, esta ser\u00e1 la octava ocasi\u00f3n en la que el equipo Tricolor abre un Mundial y la segunda ante el combinado sudafricano.<\/h4>\n

Como llegan ambas selecciones al Mundial 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Al ser anfitriones, los mexicanos llegan a la justa sin un periodo eliminatorio previo en su region, por ende, el equipo de Javier \u00abEl Vasco\u00bb Aguirre<\/strong> cerro su preparaci\u00f3n de cara al Mundial<\/a> con tres victorias al hilo ante Australia, Ghana y Serbia. M\u00e9xico buscara iniciar el torneo con la misi\u00f3n de hacer un buen papel como anfitri\u00f3n.<\/h4>\n

Sud\u00e1frica<\/a> busca hacer un buen papel en su cuarta participaci\u00f3n en Mundiales y superar la fase de grupos por primera vez en su historia, en sus tres apariciones quedaron en la tercera posici\u00f3n de su grupo, los \u00abBafana Bafana\u00bb cerraron su preparaci\u00f3n previo al Mundial con dos empates, 0-0 Nicaragua y 1-1 Jamaica.<\/h4>\n
